WHAT IS THE BEST ROUTE TO TAKE?

Our central location with good connectivity means we are ideally located near to Burton upon Trent. It’s easy for international visitors too with our proximity to local airports and rail stations, yet far enough away to be in a quaint and peaceful village.

From Burton Upon Trent

(approx 7 miles) Take the B5234 out of Burton signposted Abbots Bromley & the FA Ground. Stay on this road (taking the 2nd exit at New Inn/Jet roundabout), pass FA Ground on your left, you will then come to some crossroads (crossing the A515) go straight across here and you come down into the village of Newborough.

From Lichfield City Centre

(approx 12 miles) Turn right out of either train station towards the A38 Burton upon Trent. Come off the exit marked Tamworth/Alrewas and follow signs for Kings Bromley on the A513. At Kings Bromley turn right at the T junction onto the A515 towards Sudbury/Asboure. Pass through Yoxall and Newchurch and then turn left into Newborough on the B5234.

From Hoar Cross

Drive through Newborough End pass the Meynell Ingram Arms on your left and as you enter Newborough village on the Yoxall Road we will be directly in front of you at the T-junction.

From Rugeley Or Lichfield Cathedral

Take the A515 passing through Yoxall and Kings Bromley, stay on the A515 Sudbury Road until you pass Newchurch, then at the junction with the B5234 turn left signposted Abbots Bromnley. Newborough is 1 mile on this road.

From Abbots Bromley

Abbots Bromley is only 3.5 miles away, take the B52334 as you enter Newborough village the church will be on your right and we will be on your left.

From Alton Towers /Uttoxeter

Alton Towers is just 19 miles away, when leaving the theme park follow signs to Uttoxeter you will join the B5032, then the B5031 and then the B5030, follow signs for A50 (Derby) join the A50 until you see the exit for Lichfield on the A515, follow the A515 through the village of Draycott in the Clay, Newborough will then be signposted on your right, there are 3 roads which all come into Newborough, just head for the Church and you will find us.

By Train Or Air

There are Railway stations at Burton upon Trent, Lichfield, Rugeley, Tamworth and Birmingham New Street, taxis are available outside these stations. It is about a 10 minute journey from Burton Station to Newborough. We also have three local airports within an hours drive of Newborough, East Midlands (Derby/Nottingham) is 40 minutes away, Birmingham Airport 50 minutes and Coventry Airport 1 hour away. We are also a role from Tatenhill Airfield which services private planes and helicopters

Parking

You will find us right in the centre of the village by the Village Inn and the Church. There is free on street parking opposite Old Bakers Cottage by the church entrance (by the village notice board and the red telephone box).
